Re “Sales tax iffy to make November ballot” (Jan. 30): Remember back in the 1980s when Nancy Reagan was telling us all to “just say no” to drugs? These days, I think we should all “just say no” to raising taxes. The city and county governments and their labor union allies are addicted to raising taxes to fund ever-expanding pension benefit obligations.
